The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, January 2 reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) make advances in their quest to capture Matt Clark aka “Mitch Bacall” (Roger Howarth) while Ian Ward (Ray Wise) has another go-round with Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) head.
Y&R airs a repeat from 1998 on Thursday, January 1 but evil abounds in GC in the New Year so let’s break it all down Y&R fans!

On Friday, January 2 Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) bask in the afterglow! Daniel makes a promise to Tessa but will he be able to keep it?
Mariah is still married to Tessa so maybe they should square their games up before making wild vows!
Speaking of Messa’s mess, messy Mariah checked herself out of the clinic in Boston and is back in a dungy no-tell motel.

Mariah is not well, as evidenced by her visions of evil Ian Ward.
Yes, he’s baaaaack, Ray Wise the villain supreme, plays with and in the messy mind of Mariah.
Whatever Ian says it won’t be ‘Happy New Year’ he will taunt her with unsavory observations that serve to eat away at her already degraded mind.
Will this be the final nail in this lumbering plot: Ian pushing Mariah beyond the boundary of sanity?
Victor and Nick Unite
Meanwhile, Victor and Nick give it all they’ve got as they set a trap for Matt. Nick offered Matt $1 million for MIA Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) but there are pesky details: Matt wants the money in an offshore account after he’s left the country.
The Newmans cannot let this monster slip away only to live in fear of when he could return. Tell us Y&R fans, will Matt be taken care of once and for all?
To accomplish this he has to be put in prison stripes or beneath the dirt. Nick and Victor are crafty but are they more clever than evil Matt?
We predict that Matt will not go down without a fight and that this war ain’t over till the pudgy lady sings.
