Why is that?
Well, the lady who was formerly known by the last name Charles believes it’s all about attraction. It’s arguably impossible to argue that she’s wrong, with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) siding with those who feel the spark between Kyle and Audra.
What Was Learned In Los Angeles, California, Didn’t Stay There
The old cliché about Las Vegas, Nevada, is that what happens there stays there. The implication is that people travel to the land of gambling and entertainment, release their inhibitions, and believe that doing so provides a moral shield of responsibility.
But it doesn’t. The same proved true when Claire traveled to LA with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), who became more than just a flirtatious friend.
Holden’s partial admission to Claire was tied to Audra. Along with telling her that Audra’s real last name is Cortes, he admitted that she stole one-half million dollars from a man and later gave Holden one hundred thousand as an unsolicited payoff thank you.
Kyle Abbott Pushing Common Enemy Theory
Kyle and Claire share a common enemy in Audra. But is Audra really Kyle’s enemy or the woman who pushes his emotional buttons because he can’t resist her?
Claire responded to Audra’s slap across her face at Society by grabbing her neck. As Audra told one of the witnesses to that brief restaurant fracas, Claire was the aggressor.
That mentality is what justifies Kyle’s stance, at least in his mind. He believes that Audra has targeted him unjustifiably, and he’s merely responding in kind.
Agreeing to bring Audra down for good is the method Kyle and Claire are using to deal with their common enemy. Both people also appear to be using this alliance as a potential bridge to reconciliation.
Audra Cortes Is Only Partially Responsible Now
While she won’t admit it or take the assessment as accurate, Audra is half responsible for the repeated counterattacks she and Kyle engage in at this point in their tormented storyline. Silver’s character is also a strong opponent who might be able to not only withstand a dual attack but also win.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is Audra’s only true friend in Genoa City, Wisconsin. So, unless that bond is broken, Hope’s character can be counted on.
Audra is too resilient to stay down if she’s knocked over by any form of attack Kyle and Claire engineer. Viewers should anticipate a continued offensive effort, which is Audra’s soapy signature. The outcome might also cause Kyle to lose Claire to Holden and leave him with one woman to turn to in the heat of that moment.
