B&B Spoilers: Carter’s Dark Transformation – Has He Become the Show’s Biggest Villain?

B&B Spoilers: Carter's Dark Transformation – Has He Become the Show's Biggest Villain? The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) is certainly in over his head with his current baby mama drama.

He’s told Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) that he and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) have already started the surrogacy process, and he’s doing everything he can to make sure Steffy doesn’t spill the beans.

However, the deeper Carter gets into this deception, the harder it becomes to recognize the man he used to be.

Key Takeaways

  • Carter struggles to conceal the pregnancy truth
  • Daphne remains unaware of the deception
  • Steffy faces pressure to stay silent
  • Carter’s behavior raises troubling questions
  • Redemption may be harder than ever

Carter Has Fallen a Long Way

For years, it seemed like Carter was one of the good guys. He was someone people could trust and count on in their moments of need.

However, the man he is today is a shadow of who he once was.

Between cheating, hiding the truth about the pregnancy, and pressuring Steffy to keep quiet, Carter’s behavior has become downright disturbing.

He’s turned into almost the complete opposite of who he was just a few months ago.

It’s frightening to think about how much further he could fall and what he might look like at his absolute worst.

Of course, this is what being on a soap opera will do. You can’t stay the good guy forever. Eventually, something has to happen to give a character a more complicated backstory.

But has Carter’s transformation gone too far?

Does Carter’s Dark Side Make Him More Interesting or Just Boring?

Some viewers may think Carter is finally joining the ranks of everyone else on the show, becoming cunning and ruthless in his own way.

But does that really make him more interesting?

Turning him into another scheming character might actually make him less compelling. After all, isn’t it more challenging to keep someone decent in a world filled with manipulation and betrayal?

It seems to me that the more interesting approach would have been to keep Carter as one of the few genuinely good guys.

What does it take to remain honest when everyone around you seems willing to lie, cheat, and manipulate to get what they want?

Instead, Carter has given in to his worst impulses, and his entire character has seemingly been turned upside down.

What does redemption even look like after someone has sunk this low?

And more importantly, would Daphne ever forgive him if she learned the truth about Steffy’s pregnancy?

Annemarie’s Take

I have to say, I’m disappointed in Carter. He used to be one of the few characters you could count on to do the right thing, and now he’s lying to Daphne while trying to keep Steffy quiet.

What bothers me most is that Daphne is being kept in the dark about something that could change her entire future. She deserves the truth, whether Carter likes the consequences or not.

I don’t think making Carter another manipulative schemer automatically makes him more interesting. Sometimes the good guy is worth keeping around!

Do you think Carter can redeem himself, or have the writers completely ruined his character?
