And yes, there’s a good reason for it: it all has to do with money. Or at least, that’s what critics believe.
According to Newsweek, Donald and Melania’s prenup is so tight that the former model made sure that she would walk away with more than just a pretty penny, should she decide to pull the plug on her marriage to the President of the United States.
In 2023, Newsweek reported that Melania even managed to renegotiate her marriage contract to the New York businessman to make sure that she would be left with plenty of money. This was during a time when his bank account was a little less full thanks to all of his legal fees stemming from his multiple indictments.
That’s why a lot of people believe that Melania is just holding out for money right now. There’s a good chance that she’s just waiting for her husband to end his term in office before making her ultimate move.

And if Melania does, a lot of people wouldn’t be surprised. After all, the First Lady often looks like she wants to be anywhere but next to her husband during their public events. At least, that’s how it looks to critics.
But then again, this isn’t the first time that rumors have swirled about a possible divorce between Donald and Melania Trump.
Back in 2024, Newsweek published a piece that suggested Melania e-filed her divorce right before the presidential election. Of course, there was no truth to the rumor and the First Lady herself had to set the record straight.
So far the White House has not made any comments about the matter just yet. Now, whether or not Melania actually does pull the plug on her marriage to Donald remains to be seen.
