The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Nick’s Best Shot Yet – Adam Steps Up to End Matt Threat
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) agreed to help his brother. That allowed Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, with backup.
Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) believes he’s smarter than everyone. His stance is understandable based on his returns from the supposed dead and many escapes from justice.
Learning that Matt was released from prison after his most recent arrest enraged the Newmans. Nick took it upon himself to promise that he would deliver justice to Howarth’s character, with Adam serving as a potential moral check.
Adam Newman Kills Matt Clark?
It could be that Grossman’s alter ego is returning to Vegas as part of an unexpected twist. Rather than have Nick permanently handle the Matt problem, it could be that his younger and now trusted brother, Adam, seizes that responsibility, or it falls to him.
Devoted viewers know that Grossman became the recast for this character in 2019. He replaced Justin Hartley (Adam), whose version of this Newman family member was softer. Grossman’s performances have become a mixture of hard and soft, with Adam seeking to be a better man within the last year-plus.
So, it’s reasonable to believe that he will defend Nick if called upon to do so. That could include needing to fight Matt to the death.
Nick Newman Still Isn’t Himself
Nick suffered a bad break when Matt forced him off the road earlier this year. That happened while Nick was attempting to take Matt to the woods and end his life.
Breaking a femur normally means an extended combination of a hospital stay and rehabilitation. But Nick didn’t have either, as he opted to check himself out of Genoa City Memorial Hospital after one day.
Rehabilitation has consisted of Nick using a cane and taking illegal substances that she’s substituting for painkillers. He’s not been thinking straight, but at least he had the good sense to realize that having Adam along for what should be a wild ride was for the best.
Matt Clark Meets His End Or Lives Forever?
Hiring an actor with Howarth’s pedigree could be like when the show brought Robert Newman in to play Ashland Locke.
That fellow daytime legend delivered a bell-ringer performance that allowed Ashland’s storyline to end with a jolt.
Projecting Howarth’s stint on YR as short isn’t a stretch. Matt could resurface in Nevada and battled Adam and Nick for a handful of weeks.
Luring the Newman brothers to Sin City might be purposeful, with Matt knowing that Adam once had amnesia while living there.
Alternatively, it could be a great mistake, with Adam and Nick teaming to stop this longstanding family nemesis forever.
Killing off a villain outside of GC would become a memorable event. That type of resolution would also need to include sweeteners that allowed the audience to know conclusively that Matt was dead.
