General Hospital Spoilers: Molly And Cody – Made For Each Other, Or Major Cringe Factor?

General Hospital Spoilers: Molly And Cody - Made For Each Other, Or Major Cringe Factor?General Hospital spoilers leak Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) have sealed the deal — in her boss’ office on New Year’s Eve.

We can pretty much officially consider them a couple now, unless Molly wakes up and backs out of it — which would be in true Molly fashion.

She’s not typically this impulsive, and in some ways, I like that Cody is bringing out another side of her.

At the same time, she’s so Type A that I’m not sure she’s actually capable of this much change.

Look how long it took her just to let a guy into her world, believe he wants to be there, and trust her own feelings for him too.

Her quirky behavior, coupled with his poor timing, could be really sweet — if it wasn’t also so downright ick. Am I alone here?

Made for Each Other?

There are plenty of adoring fans who think this couple is the picture of the relationship they want to achieve someday.

There is something to be said for Cody’s patience as Molly dealt with trying to find herself all over again in the wake of a breakup from the only serious relationship she had ever been in. He helped her discover her love of writing all over again, even if it was purely as a source of inspiration.

GH Spoilers Report the Cringe Factor is Too High?

Truly, the timing is all wrong. They never seem comfortable kissing or getting too close. Everything either feels rushed, awkward, or accidental.

At some point, that beginning stage of having a crush and not being sure they’re going to return your feelings ends. For Molly and Cody, it ended a long time ago. Girl, he likes you.

Given your track record with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), you have no reason to behave like you have so much trauma in your past from rejection.

Furthermore, Cody came to town a much smoother criminal who knew how to talk his way into a room, but he suddenly lost all game when he met Molly? Make it make sense.

Spin to Win?

I’d love to see a better spin put on their relationship where they can both mellow out a bit.

Despite Cody being crazy about Molly, and despite her professional successes, she seems to be sorely lacking in the self-confidence department.

What gives? Even Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was never this shy around men — and she had plenty of skeletons in her closet! Cody comes from good stock, but he has screwed up plenty.

Can we maybe see these two act like the actual thirtysomethings they are instead of like kids on a playground stuck in a loop of when boy meets girl? Just my two cents. Sound off in the comments if you agree — or not, and stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers up ahead.

I don’t feel the two are made for each other, but I also don’t feel the pairing will work once all the so called initial attraction wears off. Molly’s separation/divorce or whatever has to be done is a situation like the one between she and TJ has not been addressed. In fact, TJ’s absence from canvas hasn’t been addressed either. One chapter in a character’s life needs to be closed before another is opened in my opinion. The TJ character has been a presence on GH from a teen to a doctor and he goes missing from canvas and nothing is said, not even a telephone call from him saying he has decided to leave PC. Come writers you can do better than this in both instances.
