The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Will Nick’s Money Stop Matt – Or Make Things Worse?
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) doesn’t fear Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). He’s confronting him head-on and believes that a thirst for money will protect the Newman family.
Kidnapping Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) for a second time was gutsy. Matt sent his crooked enforcer, Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge), to knock Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) out cold and take Sienna by force. Both missions were accomplished.
Being in Genoa City, Wisconsin, demonstrates just how brazen Matt is. But he’s in search of revenge and restitution. Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) theft wasn’t legal, and neither was Sienna’s pocketing of the extra cash she took from the till at The Shadow Room.
What Are The Laws In Los Angeles, California?
Matt and Sienna are married. But he’s using a false name, so is that nuptial valid?
In this version of the soapy state of California, anything is possible. The law is what judges’ subjective interpretations make of it, which is at odds with soapy justice.
Victor’s use of the artificial intelligence program allowed him to decimate Matt’s business. The AI weapon was stolen by Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Victor knows that. So, he committed crimes as well.
Nick Newman Is Acting With Reasonable Intent
Offering a payoff so that someone leaves his family alone feels like bowing to a ransom request that wasn’t made. At least Nick has been working with the authorities, but the good detective he and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) are aligned with can’t have enforcement power in GC, right?
Thankfully, Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) escaped seeming death in LA. He dropped the pretense and showed Matt that he wasn’t on his payroll during the sequence when Noah and Sienna were discovered.
Nick doesn’t seem to have contacted the authorities. After Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) murder last summer, the audience is wondering if another full-time GC detective will be written in. Law enforcement is part of daytime reality, with only people who are or think like Matt claiming otherwise.
Matt Clark’s Running Out Of Options
Matt took Sienna because he knew doing so would force the Newmans to make some type of a deal. Nick’s initial offer of a million dollars in exchange for Sienna is reasonable.
However, Nick needs his father to be fully involved because Matt has outwitted Morrow’s character before. Devoted fans recall the trouble Nick dealt with when Matt pretended to die and framed him for his supposed murder.
It seems like the final climax in this storyline isn’t near. It would be great if Howarth could remain on the show indefinitely because he’s a great actor. However, Matt’s plot runway has to be limited if this tale ends believably.
