The Young and The Restless: Phyllis’ Daring Plan So Extreme, She Doubts Herself!

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may be in over her head with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

She begged Cane for a chance to prove her loyalty to him. He finally gave her a snippet of his grand scheme—he wants to take over Chancellor Industries, Newman Enterprises, and Jabot.

The kicker is if she is with him, she will have to betray Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), something that most Y&R viewers believe she wouldn’t do. The big question about Phyllis’ plan; is she willing to betray Nick or is she merely tricking Cane to get information to pass on to the Newmans?

Cane Plans To Use Phyllis

The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Cane knows Phyllis has a certain skillset. It isn’t something you can put on a resume, but she can get things down that most people can’t. She’s determined, sneaky, and cunning.

These are all great traits to have if you are looking to take over the three biggest corporation in Genoa City.

Cane cannot underestimate the risk involved in working with Phyllis. It is a huge undertaking to convince Phyllis to betray Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Not only does she love and respect her ex-husband, but they share a child, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

If Phyllis does betray Nick by working with Cane, the whole town could turn on her. She still hasn’t lived down faking her death to frame Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Betraying Nick would sink her in Genoa City’s elite eyes. She would never live it down.

Y&R spoilers say that Phyllis is power hungry and knows Cane can help her achieve her dream of running a big company. The icing on the cake would be getting the best of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Diane, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

But is Phyllis need for revenge strong enough to betray the one person who is always in her corner?

Is Phyllis Setting A Trap For Cane?

The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Phyllis will update Nick about Cane’s plan. She may tell Nick that she will make Cane believe she’s on his side and will betray the

Newmans. Nick will think it is a bad idea and could end badly.

Concerned for Phyllis’ safety, Nick will update Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) about Phyllis’ plan. Sharon will think it’s a terrible idea, urging Nick to stop Phyllis from getting entangled in a corporate war.

Together, Nick and Sharon, will work tirelessly to save Phyllis from making any deal with Cane. At the same time, Phyllis doubles down with Cane, promising she is willing to do whatever is necessary to work alongside him.
