Melania Trump is being slammed in all different directions for neglecting to choose American-based designers whenever she’s picking out things to wear in the public eye.
In fact, some people think that she will once again she might choose to wear a creation from some of her favorite European-based designers for her husband Donald Trump’s inauguration like Christian Dior or Valentino and of course, a lot of people can’t help but wonder why.
After all, other first ladies like Jill Biden and Michelle Obama have worn dresses by home grown talent. But for Melania Trump, she would rather put something on by Dolce and Gabbana than anything else. Simply put, she loves her couture brands from France and Italy.
But then again, it’s not like Melania Trump was born and raised in the United States. She’s from Slovenia. Perhaps she just wants to wear designers that she’s always loved and wants to keep it that way.
Even with that said, it’s not going to stop Melania’s critics from slamming her for doing something so un-American. She could easily put a lesser-known designer on the map by wearing one of their creations, but Melania just doesn’t feel like that’s very important for her right now.
