General Hospital Spoilers: Brook Lynn and Chase are Prepared to Say I Do, But Gregory’s Health Could Push Pause on Everything
General Hospital Spoilers spill Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) are headed down the aisle in a matter of hours, but nothing will prepare them for the first hurdle they may face as man and wife — Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) untimely decline and demise.
When Gregory was first diagnosed with ALS, the fans assumed this would be another long and winding storyline, much akin to the slow decline of Mike Corbin (Max Gail).
But the last month has made it quite clear that Gregory’s situation is declining much more rapidly than Mike’s case with Alzheimer’s.
While it seems like Gregory is still functioning fairly well, that could seemingly turn on a dime. Will that happen in the days to come with his son’s wedding?
General Hospital Spoilers — Goin’ to the Chapel
Brook Lynn and Chase have been eagerly awaiting their wedding day, and there are zero signs that this wedding won’t go down as planned. There aren’t any major pre-wedding jitters.
Brook Lynn’s anxiety revolves more around the perfect planning and tying up of a hundred last-minute details than it does who she’s marrying.
Both she and Chase are convinced their love will last a lifetime and aren’t the slightest bit worried about whether they can hack it as a married couple. They can’t wait to officially be one.
GH Spoilers Warn an Emergency Arises
Just because the happy couple is ready and every last detail has fallen into place doesn’t mean an emergency won’t take shape that could ruin their day.
For both Chase and Brook Lynn, the concern has been there all along that Gregory won’t be able to sustain their wedding day. In fact, hearing his father say he didn’t think it was a good idea for him to tag along to the rehearsal dinner in Coney Island wasn’t just a relief to Chase.
While he was hoping for that outcome, he was also surprised he didn’t have to fight his father over it. Gregory’s own awareness that he might overtax himself the night before the wedding by flying to Coney Island for such an event clued Chase and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) into the reality that their father isn’t as capable as he once was — and he’s finally bad off enough that he has to admit it.
General Hospital Spoilers — Will This Wedding Happen?
Everyone is on pins and needles for the big day. Brook Lynn is thrilled to be sharing a part of her past with Chase in Coney Island. Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) couldn’t be happier about giving their daughter away to such a respectable young man.
Even Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is ready and waiting with bells on, and she intends to see to it that her friend Gregory gets through the day with grace. But there will be little Tracy can do if an emergency occurs with Gregory’s health that sends the entire day down the tubes.
If Gregory cannot perform the wedding ceremony — and much worse, if he can’t stay to attend the wedding because he’s rushed off to the hospital — will the whole event be put on pause pending his hopeful recovery?
Will Brook Lynn and Chase get married without Gregory present and with Chase’s mind a million miles away at GH? Will Finn be able to stick around, or might he have to take off to accompany their dad, too?
With so many variables up in the air, fans are concerned Brook Lynn may not be Mrs. Harrison Chase as soon as she thought. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how their hopefully happy day pans out.
