Young and the Restless Spoilers: Double Exit Twist – Final Showdown Sends Two Characters Packing?
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is desperate. She feigned apathy when Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) gave his initial kiss-off, but he didn’t mean it.
Now, with a change of heart and a form of desperation on his part, Matt’s offered Phyllis a deal. He won’t run away with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) if Phyllis agrees to leave with him.
Genoa City, Wisconsin, probably won’t be home for Patty soon. She’s destined to be put back in prison somewhere out of town. Phyllis knows that she can’t leave her loved ones, as Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) convinced her. But what about Matt’s future, and how will Phyllis be part of it?
Patty Williams Can’t Escape Again
Viewers have seen Patty’s multiple departures. They’ve also seen her escape prison and a mental health hospital.
This particular villain has outwitted the authorities, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), other members of both men’s families, and many others. She’s the master of escape and repeated second chances.
But this plot path feels different as the audience has been asked to walk on it. Presenting another escape story, be it beating the legal system or leaving GC for parts unknown, wouldn’t be good soap. So, something different must be ahead.
Jack Abbott Motivated To Stop The Attempted Killer
It wasn’t just Jack that Patty tried to kill. She targeted Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and nearly killed her as well.
Plunging a large, shiny knife into Jack’s side wasn’t what Patty planned, but she took that cruel measure when reacting badly to a perceived threat. Thankfully, Jack didn’t bleed out and die on the Abbott family mansion’s dining room floor.
Wanting to finish Jack off at GC Memorial Hospital was diabolical. But Patty was interrupted and ran out the door. Soon thereafter, she injected a syringe full of digitalis that was meant for the man she supposedly still loves into Diane’s neck.
Like Jack, Diane survived as well. Patty later purposely ingested cleaning fluid so she could be taken to the hospital, and escaped from there.
Matt Clark Stops The Villain And Himself?
Matt is determined to achieve redemption. It’s now fair to wonder if he’ll risk or offer his life to do so.
Phyllis wants Matt nowhere near Patty and has repeatedly told him to stay away from her. But Howarth’s character believes he can achieve that goal without putting himself in grave danger, which reads as a fatal miscalculation.
Might the outgoing writing staff end a villain, Patty, and a reformed villain, Matt, in a supercharged double finale exit?
Both actors are such tremendous performers that it’s natural to want each character to survive. However, memorable daytime drama would see one perish.
Monumental soap would have both go simultaneously, with conclusive proof provided by Phyllis’ eyewitness involvement and verification.
