The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis’ Arrogance Is Her Doom – Cane Destined To Reunite With Lily

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis' Arrogance Is Her Doom – Cane Destined To Reunite With LilyThe Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is certain that she’ll run what remains of Newman Enterprises forever.

That’s a long time, as viewers know, and most, if not all, likely disagree with the permanence of GC’s reigning queen’s run.

Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is someone that Phyllis was drawn to the moment she learned that he was Aristotle Dumas. The fortune he’d amassed, through Colin Atkinson’s (Tristan Rogers) skilled efforts, was the attraction, as was the power he held.

Stealing Cane’s artificial intelligence weapon and giving it to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was bold. But he hoodwinked her by not delivering on his end of that deal.

That was later followed by another deceptive maneuver when Phyllis signed Chancellor over to him on the perceived condition that he release Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Jack Abbott Was Already Free

Victor couldn’t order Jack to be set free because three of his loved ones had already rescued him.

Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) lead proved to be right, and he, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) located the yacht.

Victor had his goon squad kidnap Jack in the Jabot parking garage and put him on a vessel in Lake Michigan. But the Moustache didn’t put Jack there alone.

Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) was on that yacht. Her purpose was to keep Jack contained and also to distract him.

As Victor suspected, she had a devious plan, drugged her former husband, and was found cavorting with him at the moment Diane, Billy, and Kyle entered the room where Jack was being held.

Lily Winters’ Return To Genoa City Sparks Pained Response

Cane couldn’t believe that the woman he’d invested so much of his heart in while he was in exile from Genoa City, Wisconsin, for six years, so cruelly wronged him. But it was true.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) conspired with Victor to make him think that she and their children were in danger, when they never were.

Lily recognized that the man who might still be her only true love was damaged by her actions. Even her defense, which cited him having lied about his identity, was offered tepidly.

Cane responded to that reveal by becoming more determined to make Victor pay for what he’d done.

Phyllis Summers Has The Power

Cane wants nothing more to do with Phyllis. He’s felt that way before, but never to the level of intensity that he feels now.

He also told Lily that he never wants to see her again. That shocked her and will certainly not come true. She likely will pursue forgiveness, and that reverses the dynamic.

Arabesque is in shambles but probably can be reworked to produce something useful. The relationship with Lily must be rebuilt, starting with Khalil’s character pursuing Cane.

As for Phyllis, she has the ability to help Cane go after Victor. But that on-again, off-again alliance has been combustible from the beginning. So, if Cane chooses to align with Phyllis, it will be a short-term, very calculated play.
