A Blast From Jack’s Past
The Great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) finally got the revenge he’s been craving since Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) tried to do a personal intervention with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in a hotel room two years ago. He abducted Jack, sent him off on a plane, right into Patty Williams’ (Stacy Haiduk) waiting arms and lunacy.
It’s been more than a decade since Jack laid eyes on the crazy cat lady who also happens to be Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) sister.
He was once married to the woman decades ago and she has never quite gotten over him. By the end of the week, Jack falls right into Patty’s trap.
Meanwhile, a frantic Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) does everything she can to find her missing husband. Diane and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are on the prowl, looking for clues. They keep coming up empty, which is exactly how Victor wants it for now.
He also needs to find a way to keep what he did from a very curious Nikki. He knows there would be hell to pay if she ever got wind of where Jack really is and who sent him there.
Too bad Victor might not be as clever as he used to be, as Nikki starts putting two and two together. As Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) defends her father’s actions, Victor and Nikki reach their breaking point.
The Saga of Phyllis and Cane
Genoa City outcasts Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) also have quite a week. Phyllis and Diane have a showdown like no other, which goes worse than usual due to Diane’s fears about Jack. Phyllis is also unhinged, which is nothing new and just par of the course.
Cane may actually have a good week when he makes amends with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil)? Does that mean Lily is back on the scene or is this an off-screen reunion we just hear about?
