The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Billy Impacted By Jill’s Crisis – Chancellor Up For Grabs
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) made a decision. He told Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) that Chancellor is a go, which fits nicely into the ongoing efforts to destroy Newman Enterprises.
However, Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) unapproved call pushed a new wrinkle into the soapy equation. She wanted to inform Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) about Billy’s interaction with Cane, but spoke to her brother, Snapper Foster (David Hasselhoff).
What Sally learned about the resurgence of Jill’s heart issues is sobering news. That development also leaves fans wondering if Walton’s legacy character, which has been part of Y&R since its debut year in 1973, is in danger of dying.
All Hail The Great Jess Walton
Walton isn’t the original Jill. This great actor joined the cast in 1987 and earned two Emmys (1991 and 1997).
The many tremendous scenes Walton and the late Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) worked resonate across the decades. The chemistry between those actors was real, and their on-screen energy projected through the screen to the hearts of all daytime fans.
As for Jill’s heart issue, Billy could easily rationalize regaining Chancellor as a way to honor the past. Alternatively, Sally’s reveal to him could prevent him from moving forward or request a pause.
Cane Ashby Affected By Medical Update Too
Cane will be affected by Jill’s medical update whenever he is enlightened. As devoted viewers recall, she once believed that Cane was family and that Billy was his brother.
That ruse collapsed, but didn’t end Jill’s bond with Cane, which Billy resented. While Thompson’s character recently raised that issue with Cane, he sees the Chancellor offer as real and as a true peace offering.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is totally opposed to Billy receiving what she sees as undeserved charity. Cane knows that Billy was hurt by Jill selling Chancellor back to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and believes that wrong needs to be righted.
Like Billy, he cares about Jill. So, if Walton makes another in-person or video chat appearance both men are bound to have their agreement challenged or potentially stopped.
Nikki Newman Is The Rightful Head Of Chancellor
What would Katherine want?
She likely would stand by Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), remaining as the head of Chancellor.
That’s a good question that Billy thinks he knows the answer to. In his mind, the Grand Dame would approve of him, so-called restoring the company she inherited after her husband was killed in a car accident in the mid 1970s, with her driving and intending to kill them both because he wanted to be with Jill.
Everyone who watched Cooper’s indelible career knows that Katherine wouldn’t want family strife. Jill doesn’t want or need that either at this point in her life. So, fans can anticipate her calling for a peaceful and lasting resolution between her son and Cane, whom she remains fond of.
