The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Jack Won’t Let Victor Win – Matt Falls Into a Trap
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) inserts himself into the Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) drama. Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) teaser statement about the artificial intelligence weapon drama plays directly into what’s coming next.
Fans have been watching Mitch finally admit to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that he’s Matt. They also know that Matt and Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) have been holding Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) hostage.
Matt’s endgame is to take five million dollars from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and kill Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Sienna. Viewers suspect that the recast character, Howarth, will not win this conflict but might create additional damage.
Matt Clark Holds A Grudge For A Quarter-Century
Devoted fans recall the different iterations of Matt. Newer fans have been informed that he was initially Sharon Collins’ (the maiden name of Sharon Case’s character at that time in the plot) boyfriend when Case became part of the cast in 1994.
Sharon and Nick bonded during that era, and Matt became the bad guy as he attacked Case’s character. That led to a still-existing battle with Nick and the cementing of Shick as one of Y&R’s all-time couples.
Viewers haven’t seen Matt since the early 2000s. He was assumed dead, but The Shadow Room in Los Angeles, California, proved to be his resurrection setting and launching point for the comeback revenge tour.
Noah Newman Was The Target Point
Matt is mad, but he’s also smart. Plotting a comeback for more than two decades, he waited until all factors were set.
As Noah told it, the man calling himself Mitch initiated contact with him in London, England. The recast character Adams is portraying owns a nightclub and was encouraged to expand to LA.
But Matt didn’t become Noah’s mentor by chance and has been plotting to use him as bait to draw Nick and Sharon back to their fight. Matt’s bravado led him to believe he could outwit the Newmans.
Jack Abbott Counted On Being Underestimated
Meanwhile, Victor has been handling a battle on another front. He is attempting to destroy Jabot and is readying to launch an AI assault that would decimate Jabot.
Yet, as fans saw in a preview scene, Jack and Kyle are with Matt at the Ranch. That photo, along with Kyle’s cryptic statement, means both storylines are converging.
The end of Matt’s and Victor’s threats may surprisingly collide. Of course, Braeden’s monumental character will survive.
Matt deserves lasting legal punishment, but the seeming loss of Howarth from the cast would be a shame because he’s produced an outstanding version of this dastardly persona.
Jack projects to save his family’s cosmetics business. Victor’s desire to destroy Bergman’s character appears implausible, and Matt will either go to jail or escape once more.
