2025 could be said to be the year when the most progress was made to heal the long-standing rift between the Sussexes and the rest of the Royal Family. I mean, it even came with a nearly hour-long chat over tea between King
Charles and his estranged younger son Prince Harry.
But, according to sources, it was crickets from the Sussexes when King Charles’ 76th birthday came around.
Harry also failed to issue a public statement acknowledging the milestone moment. This has led to an expert to proclaim that Harry and Meghan continue to be outsiders in the Royal Family.
King Charles and Prince Harry Reportedly Have No Rapprochement This Holiday Season
Earlier this month, King Charles lifted a lot of hearts when he revealed that his hospital visits are scheduled to reduce the coming year, hinting that things are looking positive for the monarch health-wise.
However, things don’t seem to be going spectacularly fine when it comes to reconciling with his son. Following their brief meeting in September, it was speculated that Harry had arrived with a bag of requests, which the King frightfully could not fulfill or acquiesce to.
For this reason, it seems that the reconciliation that was just starting to warm up has gone and cooled down considerably.
“Harry and Meghan are ever on the outside as their family members are battling these very catastrophic illnesses,” Maureen Callahan said during her latest GB News appearance. “It seems Kate is on the mend, thank God, but Charles seems to be really quite ill.”
As for why the holidays have been blatantly Sussex-free, Callahan added, “As the holidays approach, it seems there is no real rapprochement in the offing for Harry and Charles. And it’s sad.”
However, if you asked GB News anchor Nana Akua, she’d ask you who would want to spend the holidays with either of the Sussexes, especially when there’s strong suspicion they’d go running to the press with scraps the very next day.
“I don’t think I’d want them round my house to be honest,” Akua slammed, with Richard Fitzwilliams agreeing, “Of course, you never know which television company they might talk to about their experiences when they were visiting you. This is one of the problems, of course, the King and the rest of the family have.”
So maybe next Christmas?
