The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Did Deke Get What He Deserved at Forrester Creations?
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that last week Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) found out what his sister Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) has felt for many years as a non-Forrester working at Forrester Creations: picture gum on the bottom of a shoe.
As the head of Hope for the Future, Hope hired him at FC and promised to give him a fresh start out of design school. His designs have promise, and as such she felt confident in giving him a hand up.
Until the Forrester family pulled a classic move—did Deke deserve to be fired? Let’s look into this latest travesty!
Deke Was Let Go at FC
Deke told Hope that he was nervous about being at FC and she told him to relax, there’s nothing to worry about.
Deke wanted to be the HFTF designer but the more experienced Zende Forrester (Delon De Metz) was given the gig. Hope acknowledged that Zende had the right last name, but was sure that Deke would be given a decent chance.
Who is the Right Designer for HFTF?
That was before prodigal son Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) showed up looking for his old job back. Zende had no problem collaborating with Thomas, but wasn’t as sure about Deke.
Everybody has to start somewhere, right? Yet it seems that the Forresters have a kooky way of doing business, just ask Eric Forrester (John McCook).
Deke told Hope he didn’t want favoritism, which is why he originally submitted his portfolio to Forrester Creations without his name on it.
Deke Wants a Fair Shot
According to Deke, he wanted to be hired because of his talent, not his name. Hope was blown away by his designs, and the others went along with the hire. But Deke is fresh out of design school and he doesn’t have the chops that Zende and Thomas do.
He’s raw as a designer, while Thomas is a seasoned designer who’s been integral to the success of Hope for the Future–numbers don’t lie.
