General Hospital spoilers say that when it comes to Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) and her behavior on the show lately, a lot of people can’t help but wonder if things have become rather disappointing. That’s because she’s become more ‘meek’ than anything else.
Is Laura’s Behavior Becoming Disappointing?
Sure, Sidwell (Carlos Rota) might have put her in a terrible position, but whatever happened to the strong and confident Laura that we used to know and love? She’s a shadow of her former self.
Rather than standing up for herself, Laura is cowering, crying and acting like she is the most defeated person in the room. This is not how longtime viewers of the show want to see this character.
Of course, many General Hospital fans had a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “There’s a lot coming at her at once right now. This is kind of the last straw. Right now, she needsSonny to be the calm, collected one so she can freak out for a minute, and it’s a role Sonny is more than okay with filling.”
“It’s kind of what he does for the people he loves when these types of situations arise.”
What’s Next For Laura?
Another General Hospital critic wrote, “Has Laura ever opened her trunk after her car became disabled and found a dead body? I think her shock is totally understandable.”
“Sidwell’s attempts to blackmail Laura and Sonny will backfire badly over the next several months.”
And then there was this comment as well: “I think everyone would benefit from watching some old Laura-focused episodes on YouTube or whatever. This is Laura. This is how Genie Francis has always played Laura.”
“Tough, adventurous, but also fragile in many ways. It totally tracks. I would not want to see this played any other way, tbh.”
