Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Weren’t Ready To Give Up “Control” To Satisfy the Kardashian
Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party has become ground zero for a war between the Sussexes and the Kardashian-Jenners. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the star-studded event, which took place at Jeff Bezos’ Beverly Hills estate, and posed for pictures with the likes of Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian.
However, when the mother-daughter duo shared these pics on their social media pages, Harry and Meghan were reportedly so angered they reached out to them to ask for the pictures to be deleted.
At first, the reason was put down to optics, due to the event coinciding with Remembrance Sunday in the UK. However, new details are emerging day by day, and each one sounds more fantastic than the last.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Personally Requested For Their Pictures To Be Pulled From the Kardashians’ Social Media Pages
Celebrity columnist Rob Shuter reported on his #ShuterScoop that the Sussexes were the ones who personally asked for their images from the party to be deleted. The story was that the pictures were shared without their approval, and it naturally made them “furious.”
“They were polite but firm—nothing goes online without their sign-off,” one source claimed. “They’ve built their brand on control, and they weren’t about to let a Kardashian post ruin that.”
At first, when the pictures were deleted, several royal fans speculated that Harry and Meghan had gate-crashed the event and weren’t officially invited.
However, based on Kris Jenner’s clapback, it does confirm that they indeed were a part of the guest list.
“Kris doesn’t like being told what to do—especially not by royals who live in Montecito,” a source from the Kardashians camp explained. “She said if Meghan and Harry want control, they can have it—just not on her guest list.”
At the party, Harry and Meghan reportedly freely mingled with the A-list crowd, which included the likes of Lauren Sánchez, Mariah Carey, Oprah Winfrey, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Tina Knowles, and Rita Wilson. Jay-Z and Beyoncé were also reportedly present during the evening’s celebrations, though they used a discreet entrance to avoid being photographed.
Bruno Mars performed at the party, so all in all, anyone could say it must have been a delightful evening. The drama that ensued right after, not so much.
