Days of Our Lives Is Getting Rid Of Their Science Fiction Storylines

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Deidre Hall Opens Up About Body & Soul's Finale-How A Fake Soap Influenced Ron Carlivati’s Ouster

We knew that it would only be a matter of time before this would happen. Days of Our Lives Executive Producer Ken Corday says that fans are going to be seeing a lot of changes for the show in the coming weeks and months ahead. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Days of Our Lives Is Getting Rid Of Their Science Fiction Storylines

In a new interview with Soaps.com, Corday says that Days of Our Lives will be seeing more romance and passion in their storylines and less science fiction, which seems to have been the norm these last several years.

Of course, a lot of fans love the current storylines that are on the show, but there’s no doubt that fans will also love seeing some new love triangles and passionate scenes that are most likely going to take place between the sheets. Who would argue with that, right?

Luckily, the DOOL writing time has decided to take the show in a different direction, but in a good way, of course. The EP put it this way, “The fact that we’re renewed through September of 2026 is great. But there’s always something bigger and better out there!”

“I’m excited about what’s coming up in Season 60, but I’m also thinking about Season 65 and beyond.”

Now, as far as what’s next, Corday didn’t give out too many spoilers, but he did say that there are plenty of surprises in store right around the corner.

He said, “Some very powerful moments are approaching in the summer of next year. We see a lot of familiar characters returning. I can’t tell you the reason why, but it will be momentous, especially as we get to August of 2025 and celebrate our 60th anniversary.”

“We’re trying to root the show in much more of an interpersonal reality, with a return to romance and passion more than science fiction.”
