Sharon has been haunted by the loss of her daughter Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) who died as the result of a car accident. It seems like the show is setting the stage for something similar to happen to Sharon.
In her altered state it would be easy for her to drive, get distracted, and hit someone like Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) or Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).
Daniel played a role in Cassie’s death and Sharon recently talked to him about the tragedy.
There is another possibility in play, and that is that Sharon thinks Daniel is Cameron and does something terrible to the monster.
