Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cole Compromised DNA Test, Interested In Reunion With Victoria?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that the soap has left open an intriguing door where Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) true paternity lies.

After all, she didn’t give her own DNA sample for the test, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) retrieved some of her items from the lake house to use, instead. One of which happened to be a hairbrush.

Did he compromise the DNA test for his own strange motive?

Y&R spoilers imply that fans can’t seem to shake the memory of Claire eerily brushing Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) hair at the lake house, while the Newman matriarch was held hostage.

This is why it’s so interesting that the writers chose to mention that a hairbrush was used to prove Claire is Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) daughter.

Could Cole have purposely chosen the hairbrush to use as the DNA sample? He may have found it in the room where Nikki was held captive and decided to use it for the test to “guarantee” certain results. But why?

Y&R Spoilers: Cole Wants A Second Chance With Victoria?

Cole might have ensured to grab the hairbrush that he knew would be a “mother-daughter” match because he feels guilty about what his Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) has done to both Claire and Vicky.

A lot has been riding on Claire being their long-lost daughter, so maybe he thought it would help ease the trauma for both ladies if he ensured that it came true.

Victoria would have a second chance at being a mother to the baby she lost so many years ago, and Claire would have a second chance at having the mother she’s always yearned for.

Then again, what if Cole is looking for a second chance, himself? He and Vicky have been spending a ton of time together, processing this situation.

While no romantic intentions have been mentioned, it’s natural for old feelings to surface. There would be no guarantee at a romantic reunion, but having a daughter together could help that situation if he wanted it. Claire would also be a good reason for him to stay in Genoa City.
