Eric, who is best known for his role as Victor Newman on the hit CBS soap, is someone who definitely doesn’t hold back, especially when it comes to his opinions on social media. The veteran actor certainly had a lot to gripe about when it came to the one person that he loves to talk about the most: former president Donald Trump.
Eric took to his X account, which is the social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter, to write, “You know, I do believe in freedom of speech! But for a presidential candidate to call immigrants blood poison and quote effing PUTIN as an authority on democracy…. It’s truly beyond the pale! He is so up PUTIN’S ass because he depends on him for financial support! This guy is NUTS!!!”
The actor then continued with, “But the most shameful thing is the silence of most Republicans in Congress, who KNOW the man’s undemocratic tendencies, who know about his total disregard of our democratic institutions, who know he wants to be one of those tinpot dictators, who KNOW he is a fraud!!!”
Many of Eric’s The Young and the Restless fans and followers also commented on the matter with, “The funny thing is, I believe his paternal grandfather was an immigrant. When Trump and his ilk make these statements about immigrants, they mean immigrants of color. Plain and simple. I mean, his wife is an immigrant!” along with, “Trump’s father was the son of German immigrants, & his mother was a Scottish immigrant. Is he also blood poison? America was started & built by immigrants. Think back to Jamestown in 1607 or Plymouth in 1620. He seems to have serious issues w/anyone diff in any way.”
