The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, August 28: Victor’s Outrageous CEO Choice, Sharon Flexes Her Power

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, August 28 tease that single and ready to mingle Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) comes across a messy inconvenient truth.

It could have to do with her ex Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and his underling Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).

There was a time when Audra played Elena, pretending to be her friend while goading her to break up with Nate, presumably to have him for herself.

Audra and Nate never made it to the bedroom, but they are chummy in the boardroom and this dynamic does not get past Elena whose curiosity is piqued.

Spoilers reveal that she could come across some unsettling intel at the same time she looks to move past her diasterous dalliance with Nate.

Elsewhere Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) talks to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and how their business alliance is going downhill thanks to the latter’s diabolical dealings.

Did she really think this business partnership would turn out any other way?

The trio run SNA Media, but Adam expects to be the sole boss when it’s merged into Newman Media. Nick and Sharon have other ideas and don’t fancy being sidelined. During a private meet-up Sharon tells Nick to think about jumping ship from their deal because Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) are changing up the initial ground rules.

Sharon wants to protect her contribution, Kirsten Incorporated, and keep it out of the Newman family grasp. It’s a calculated risk however because she proposed doing business with Adam in the first place precisely because Kirsten Incorporated is struggling.

You can’t eat your cake and have it too.

If Sharon pushes her agenda, Victor will likely try and talk her out of it during the week of August 28-September 1 at the same time he grants his wife, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), even more power.

Nikki’s status changes in the coming days and she could be made Newman Media CEO which might make Sharon reconsider pulling out.

Whatever Victor decides, Adam will feel snubbed by Victor’s firm message that he, not Adam, is the boss. Victor took back his offer to Sally to run a design division, but that doesn’t mean she will turn down Adam’s offer to work with him.

As such these two may have a frank convo about the ground rules should she take him up on his offer. But is she just going to repeat Sharon’s mistake in thinking that Adam can be trusted?
