The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Thinks She’s Winning, But Lily Shatters Cane’s Heart Instead
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) stole from Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and is trying to distract him using a tried-and-true method. Being strongly intelligent and highly attractive has long given Phyllis two weapons to wield, and it appears as though Cane is at a disadvantage.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) was somewhat at a loss for words during her last conversation with Cane. The unplanned run-in at Society began by witnessing Phyllis kissing Flynn’s character.
But no matter how hard Cane tries, Lily will not let her guard down, and no reasonable observer blames her. Aristotle Dumas can be used in the past tense, yet that seems not to matter because of all that’s happened since many members of Y&R’s cast were in the maze.
Getting Lost In The Maze For What Felt Like Forever
It wasn’t a true location shoot. Rather, a set was built that was supposed to be Cane’s chateau he inherited from his late father, Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers).
The summer storyline was a scorcher, at first, with Aristotle being revealed as a character fans were familiar with. The twist involved Flynn’s debut as the recast version of Cane. Daniel Goddard (the original Cane) passionately embodied this character through 2019.
No one in the know would have guessed Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) first mention of Aristotle would lead to Cane creating an elaborate ruse to try and reestablish trust with the woman he’s loved more than any other. That was eventually followed by a stretched plot that finally led to a return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, after three people died. That wasn’t exactly a summer of bliss.
Phyllis Summers Needs To Deceive
Phyllis stole Cane’s artificial intelligence tool and traded it to Victor. In exchange, he plans to install her as the head of Jabot.
It’s not clear whether Phyllis believes she’s going to be given control of the Abbott family business or simply run the legacy cosmetics business. But it would seem hard to imagine that Victor would cede control of a company he’s only taking so Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) receives payback.
Stafford’s character was stunned when she learned that Victor used the AI program to crush Cane’s company. She didn’t want that and appears to be using her romantic play with Cane as a partial makeup.
Cane Ashby Responds With A Vengeance
Cane doesn’t have proof yet. But he’s sure to learn that Phyllis stole from him and then sold him out to Victor.
His fragile state, following what felt like the loss of realistic hope of reconciliation with Lily, led him to happen upon Phyllis. That happened at the Genoa City Athletic Club, a landmark he tenuously has ownership of.
The spark that follows between them will produce multiple outcomes. The first will be a shift in the dynamic of their relationship. But the clock has already been ticking on Phyllis’ ability to cloak her theft of Cane’s property. Fans will wait for the buzzer to ring, and this improbable couple to wildly implode.
