Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers suggest that fans sure do miss seeing Sami Brady in Salem. The character’s portrayer, actress Alison Sweeney, has been quite busy as of late, staring in a number of Hallmark Channel movies, with the next one, Love & Jane, set to premiere in February 2024.
Sweeney recently interviewed with Remind Magazine to talk about her new Hallmark flick and if there’s ever a chance that Days fans will see Sami again.
Days Spoilers: Sami Brady’s History In Salem
DOOL spoilers note that Alison has been playing the Salem schemer (on and off) for over three decades. She entered the role in 1993, and would leave it in 2014; however, she has made sporadic returns since.
From blackmailing characters to faking her son’s paternity, plotting to break couples up and so much more. Sweeney notes that her favorite storyline was the “Sydnapping” arc (dubbed by fans); the story where Sydney DiMera (Berlyn and Brooklyn Baca) was kidnapped.
She states it created a major transformation within the Sami character and led to some great scenes. Sweeney notes that “she loves” playing Sami and had a “blast” on the show during her time there.
DOOL Spoilers: Could Alison Sweeney Return To The Soap?
During the interview, Alison confirms that she has stayed in touch with some former castmates, saying that Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams Brady) is one of her dear friends and Diedre Hall (Marlena Evans, Sami’s mother) is still a very good friend of hers.
She also answers the pressing question in many fans’ minds. Could she return to DOOL? Sweeney states that the “door is always open”. She adds that she has a great relationship with everyone there.
Alison also notes that if the time was right, or they wanted to tell a certain story she’d “love to go back” and visit.
