Y&R Spoilers: Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) Announces Huge Project Outside Of Genoa City
The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) is stepping outside of Genoa City this month and into something pretty big.
The Young and the Restless star, best known to fans as the fiery Sally Spectra, has joined the cast of The Christ, a four-part audio podcast epic from Faith Podcast Network dropping on March 30. And the role she landed is about as meaningful as it gets. Hope will be voicing Mary, the mother of Jesus.
She called it one of her favorite stories on her Instagram.
A Cast That Commands Attention
This is not your average podcast project. The Christ is being billed as the first-ever full-scale audio dramatization of Jesus’ life, featuring over 100 different characters brought to life through cinematic-quality sound, music, and performances.
Tom Pelphrey, the Emmy-nominated star of Ozark and Task, leads the cast as Jesus Christ. David Oyelowo, Paul Walter Hauser, Patricia Heaton, all star alongside Hope, and the legendary John Rhys-Davies narrate the whole thing. That is a serious lineup by any measure, and Courtney Hope sits right in the middle of it.
An Honor And A Privilege
The series releases one episode per day beginning March 30, with all four episodes available by Good Friday on April 3. The production compresses an epic two-hour story into those four installments, covering the life of Jesus from the manger all the way through the resurrection.
The creators describe it as bringing listeners inside the moments that changed the world, and with the caliber of talent involved, we expect great things.
Hope herself posted about the project on her Instagram with genuine warmth, calling it an honor and a privilege to be part of one of her favorite stories. Fans responded positively, and even co-star Tracey Bregman was among the first to show love in the comments.
