Is Prince Harry’s Trump Criticism Tied to His U.S. Immigration Issues?

It’s safe to say that US President Donald Trump and Britain’s Prince Harry are far from being fans of each other. If you ask Trump, he’ll tell you that Harry has a terrible wife, and if you ask Harry, he probably won’t tell you anything much better.

This time, their unstable truce seems to have been broken, following Donald Trump’s latest statement regarding the role, or lack thereof, of European NATO veterans in Afghanistan.

Prince Harry Refutes Donald Trump’s Claims About European NATO Forces’ Influence In the Afghanistan War

Last week, Trump once again made headlines when he unabashedly proclaimed that European NATO forces cowered from the front lines in the war in Afghanistan. To quote his words: “they stayed a little back, a little off the front lines.”

As a member of the troops deployed by NATO, Prince Harry was naturally enraged and, hoping to use his platform to correct Trump’s bold claim, he wrote: “Thousands of lives were changed forever.

Mothers and fathers buried sons and daughters. Children were left without a parent. Families are left carrying the cost.

Those sacrifices deserve to be spoken about truthfully and with respect, as we all remain united and loyal to the defense of diplomacy and peace.”

Standing behind her man, Meghan took to her social media with photos and a few comments of her own

Trump, however, later reneged on his stance, writing on social media, “The great and very brave soldiers of the United Kingdom will always be with the United States of America. In Afghanistan, 457 died, many were badly injured, and they were among the greatest of all warriors.”

Does Prince Harry’s Latest Move Mean He Wants To Move Back To the UK

This is coming after it was revealed that Harry would be deported if it’s discovered that he lied in his US immigration documents.

So, writing for Newsweek, royal correspondent Jack Royston naturally called into question Harry and Meghan’s level of brazenness in the midst of their precarious settlement in the US.

Royston wondered:The fact that Harry is now confident enough to take Trump on so openly and directly may raise eyebrows against the backdrop of ongoing rumors that Harry and Meghan may want to spend more time in Britain if they get police protection.”
