Days of Our Lives news says that we definitely didn’t see this coming! Unfortunately the hit Peacock soap was shut out from this year’s awards show as they didn’t bring in one Emmy for the entire cast and crew. Seeing how viewers have been so impressed with the show’s storylines lately, a lot of people are quite surprised over the shut out. What gives? Here’s what you need to know.
Days of Our Lives SHUT OUT At The Daytime Emmy Awards
Both General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful won big at this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards. The Outstanding Lead Actress award went to B&B’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood while the Outstanding Lead Actor trophy was given to her co-star, Thorsten Kay. General Hospital also won the honors for Outstanding Daytime Drama and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series. The Young and the Restless only won one award and that was for Outstanding Writing For A Drama Series.

Many disgruntled fans commented on the matter with, “I think that’s awful Days of our Lives did not win for anything! Best soap opera ever!!” along with, “I agree I’ve been watching this soap almost all my life probably good 40-50 years.”

I am very disappointed that Days of Our Lives did not receive any awards. I think they deserved better.
