Young and Restless Spoilers: Nick’s Sinister Secret – Is Matt Clark Dead?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Is Nick Lying? Is Matt Dead?

The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates pose the question, is Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) lying when Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) tries to force the truth out of him?

Nick tells Sharon she doesn’t want to know what happened to Matt Clark (Roger Howarth); is Matt really dead?

Key Takeaways

  • Nick Newman may be hiding the truth about Matt Clark
  • Matt was supposed to be taken to a mental health facility
  • Sharon believed Matt was genuinely trying to change
  • Nick’s disturbing warning raises questions about Matt’s fate
  • Sharon and Phyllis could uncover a shocking secret

Nick Was Supposed To Take Matt To A Mental Health Facility

Fans of The Young and the Restless will remember last week that Matt wound up at Sharon’s house, begging for her to help him—he spent a couple of nights on her couch.

He was having terrible head pain from injuries he suffered when Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) caused him to crash the car he was transporting her in, intending to turn her in.

She disappeared afterwards—Matt also mentioned he was having a war “in his head”—a war between good and evil.

Sharon agreed to get him some help and got him calmed down, somewhat—but when Nick showed up, he didn’t buy what Matt was selling.

After a time of some discussion, he agreed to transport Matt to a mental health center that Sharon arranged through her status as a therapist.

Nick Was Right, Matt Had Fooled People And Reinvented Himself Several Times Over The Years

Nick was right—Matt had fooled people and reinvented himself several times over the years, but always getting worse with every new version—and every new alias.

But Sharon believed Matt was sincere this time—ever since he’d turned up a changed man after Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) hit him in the head with a rock!

He’d never gotten his head examined by a doctor that time either, which is something Sharon also insisted on him having done.

Sharon convinced Nick that if Matt were faking his redemption, he wouldn’t be fighting with his conscience, which he also was doing with Nick there, not just with Sharon alone.

Nick Gets An Update About Matt, And Sharon Forces Him To Come Clean—But Does He?

Nick will get an update about Matt this week on the CBS soap, and Sharon will force him to come clean.

But does he, considering he tells her it’s best she doesn’t know, when she asks what really happened to Matt?

Nick seems to imply that Matt is dead—or, at the very least, in an indeterminate coma; which could be a possibility with a severe head injury.

With Nick’s involvement in Matt Clark’s disappearance raising questions, Sharon may have good reason to worry.

Later in the week, however, Sharon will team up with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and compare notes.

Might these notes be about Matt, and what really happened to him?

Considering Sharon and Phyllis’ complicated history, their unexpected alliance could lead to some surprising discoveries.

Fans can also follow the latest developments surrounding Matt Clark as the mystery deepens.

Editor’s Take

I don’t believe Nick is telling Sharon the whole story, and his warning that she’s better off not knowing what happened to Matt makes me even more suspicious.

Nick has every reason to distrust Matt, but would he really go so far as to make sure Matt could never threaten Sharon again? I wouldn’t be surprised if Matt is alive somewhere and Nick is keeping him hidden.

And if Sharon and Phyllis start digging, Nick could find himself in serious trouble!
