Of course, we are talking about Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) and how she’s been forced to navigate around the Newman Ranch with patches over her eyes and not one person in sight to help her.
For many critics of the show, they just don’t understand how a wealthy family like the Newmans can’t afford a nurse or a home health aide for the family’s matriarch.
During the most recent episode of The Young and the Restless, Nikki was seen stumbling around the house calling out for her daughter Victoria Newman, who is now responsible for running the family’s business. Make it make sense already, right?
It goes without saying that the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some critics even commented with, “Even if she didn’t want a cane for whatever reason, she should be guiding herself along the walls and reaching out to feel for where the furniture is at. Anyone who has ever navigated a dark house in the middle of the night would be doing better than this.”
Another critic wrote, “Did they have to remove her eyes? Because holy hell this looks stupid. Considering she will have a miracle sight recovery in time for Sweeps or Christmas it is also tedious and on brand for this show.”

And then there was this comment as well: “This is ridiculous. Richest fam in USA and she’s stumbling around the ranch. It’s been reeeeeeally bad lately lol. Almost unwatchable.”

Actually I was hoping Nikki would wise up once they removed her tumor, but it does not seem to be true. Victor needs to back off some. He needs to have empathy for some people (Sally) for one. Must say Kyle had misguided nerve to confront Victor. As stupid as it was Kyle did have his say. Why the writers continue to try to make Kyle something he is not is baffling. h well & for Kyle to even think he can trust Patty just shows how FOOLISH & Naive he is
