The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor’s Rash Decision Leaves Jack Unable to Fight Back

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor’s Rash Decision Leaves Jack Unable to Fight BackThe Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is beside himself. His focus was split into two and has now been divided into three areas.

He’s trying to reclaim Newman Enterprises and hasn’t achieved that yet. Additionally, he wants to permanently neutralize the Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) threat.

However, the Moustache’s trademark impulsive nature and virulent temper led to another battle front being created. Rejecting his loving wife’s pleas to release Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) from captivity causes Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to be ordered off the Ranch.

Cane Ashby Started All This Trouble

To be accurate, Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) obtained the wealth that allowed Arabesque to be created. Then, Colin urged his son to take control of the legacy companies in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Colin’s passing impacted Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) deeply. That, combined with his desire to regain Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) trust, led to a series of miscalculations.

Recruiting Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was not a good idea. A worse one was believing Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) would be helpful.

Billy and Phyllis clashed from the start and were never the allies Cane assumed they would be. Phyllis’ eventual betrayal proved to be a monumental blunder that resulted in her forcing Cane out of his plan and assuming control of Newman Enterprises herself.

Victor Newman’s Kidnapping Plot Creates Unintended Consequences

One aspect of this storyline involves Victor making numerous missteps. The multiple setbacks he’s enduring are foreign to his conception of business.

Victor is pushed back two steps when taking one step forward. That’s happened because he’s severely underestimated his opponents. Cane was a lightweight, but Phyllis isn’t.

Proof that Victor isn’t operating with his normal precision includes Matt escaping justice, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) becoming addicted to illegal substances, and Nikki being agitated to the highest degree because of Jack’s kidnapping.

Jack Abbott Was Out Of It

Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) appeared to be reformed. But Jack was naturally cautious because of all that had happened through the soapy years.

She did taste test his initial drink and food, seemingly proving that no drugging would happen. But Jack let his guard down, and Patty slipped a Mickey into a subsequent glass of liquor.

Jack’s mind was clouded, which is why he agreed to engage in a form of romance with her on the yacht. Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) found them together and slapped Jack hard.

Diane reacted in the moment, after following Billy’s obtained tip about where Jack was located. She was desperate to rescue her husband from Victor’s clutches and didn’t have time to consider the elaborate setup.

So, Victor did set up Jack, Patty, and Diane as he’d hoped. But he still doesn’t have Newman Enterprises back. Plus, the falling out with Nikki represents another step back in the sequence.
