The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Eric Forrester (John McCook) has weighed in. He’s embarrassed and angry, but does he have a legal leg to stand on?
Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) feels assured. Eric came on his own accord to Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and offered to be her mentor.
Then, without the head of Logan asking, Eric provided his designs and wanted them to be the new fashion house’s lead in its first collection.
If anything, Katie has kept her end of the deal. Bill paid Eric, and she had his designs made into dresses. The couture that Dottie Reynolds (Morgan Fairchild), Joseph Beasley (Jim J. Bullock), and the invited fashion mob initially questioned as legitimate was, in fact, created by the co-founder of Forrester Creations.
Eric Forrester Created This Mess
Mess was the noun Eric selected in the moments after Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) broke the jolting news. Katie and Bill were using his designs to launch Logan.
Viewers didn’t know for sure how Eric would react because of his quixotic behavior in recent months. But there was no mistaking how he felt.
Eric said that he never approved what would have been considered the final versions of the designs he gave Katie.
The speaker phone call that Brooke made and her so-called little sister accepted ramped up the family tension, as Bill made a direct statement. Logan was going forward with Eric’s work that it paid for.
Brooke Logan Forrester Shaped By The Past
It feels like Brooke doesn’t recognize what she’s doing. It’s a form of projection.
Brooke continues to say that Katie has always been jealous of her and that she can’t use the Logan name because it’s her legacy in the fashion world. Lang’s character also believes that Katie is seeking revenge for past indiscretions by stealing Eric’s designs.
Viewers can flip all that Brooke said, as Katie is asserting. Brooke’s intensity makes her appear jealous, and denying any Logan use of the family name is petty, at best.
Revenge was also just directly stated when Brooke told Katie that what she’s done means war. So, whatever feelings the eldest Logan sister has about the past are arguably driving all that Brooke has said and intends.
Katie Logan’s New Business Is Elevated
The cost of buying Eric’s designs is minimal when compared to the volume of buzz that’s been created. Logan’s name is on the map.
What happened at the fashion show, following the many questions that were asked by those who were present, will impact the launch. Yet, any fledgling fashion house would love to be in Katie’s spot, even if some negativity is in play.
Additionally, without realizing it, Brooke, Ridge, and Eric can further elevate Logan’s stature by reacting as though this new company is a threat.
