The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Kyle Still in the Dark About Claire’s Holden Secret
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) admitted that he still cares about Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) as much as he does. But the hope Kyle retains has no momentum.
Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) heartfelt attempt to get his dad and Claire together played out nicely. But it didn’t change Claire’s mind.
She was flattered by Holden Novak’s (Nathan Owens) attention at first. He was smitten with her and knew that Kyle was her man. Then, everything changed.
Bond With Holden Abbott Was The Key
Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) was obsessed with bent revenge. She conflated her sister’s death with Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) culpability and kidnapped Eve Howard, Claire’s original name, at birth.
Eventually, Claire saw through Jordan’s delusion and broke free from her. That split led to Zenk’s irrepressible talent bursting through the screen every time she appeared in a scene.
Jordan apparently died a while after she kidnapped Harrison and Claire. That forged a lasting bond that still links her to Kyle.
Holden Novak’s Covered Past Is The Poison Pill?
Jordan purposely drank poison, which inspired this section header. Holden’s poison pill involves him having accidentally killed a man while defending Audra Cortes’ (Zuleyka Silver) honor at The Shadow Room.
Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) just revealed that he is the new owner of the front Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) used for his illegal substance operation. That could mean Holden’s and Audra’s crimes will be revisited.
What happened at that seedy location wouldn’t have resulted in Holden needing to cover anything. But he panicked, told Audra to help him bury the body of the bad guy who died, and their self-created fates were sealed.
Claire Newman Values Honesty?
Claire, who values honesty, will surely be devastated when she learns what Holden’s been withholding. That will probably involve an overheard conversation or some leak involving Audra.
Yet how will Claire be juggling two opposing realities in her mind at that point in the plot?
She’ll believe Holden should have been honest with her, yet will have been concealing her relationship from Kyle. If she’s just friends with him, as she told Harrison, then why not tell Kyle that Holden is more than a friend?
Her doubts about Holden are a partial answer and allow this storyline to keep running. It feels like Claire will return to Kyle.
But that assumption has a long way to go, and she could just as easily decide to forgive him for covering up what happened because of the legal implications.
Kyle, on the other hand, trends toward learning about Holden and Audra’s hidden link as well.
That should happen because he retains a grudge toward Audra and wants to bring her down. That breakthrough would negatively impact Holden and potentially spark Claire’s defense of him.
