The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) probably didn’t have enough time to get hooked on pain pills.
So, rather than parallel a scenario that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) endured in past years, it may be that Nick becomes hooked on an illegal substance Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) provided.
As fans recall, Matt tried to force Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) to purposely ingest illegal pills that he dealt in Los Angeles, California. That happened during the time Matt kidnapped Noah and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) and planned to kill both of them.
Digitally skip ahead in the plot, and Matt has been handled by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but the remnants of the Newman family’s longtime enemy persist like poison.
The Shadow Room Was A Front
Fans were introduced to The Shadow Room when Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) took Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) there. That was an unusual decision because the audience eventually learned that he accidentally killed a man at that location while trying to defend Audra Cortes (Zuleyka Silver).
The purpose of shifting focus to LA and having multiple characters suddenly need to be there was multifaceted. A main element was to reintroduce Matt after a nearly quarter-century absence.
The nightclub was eventually revealed as a front for Matt’s drug-dealing operation. Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) proved key in enabling Noah and Sienna to escape what seemed like certain death, with Cohen’s character seemingly moving to Genoa City, Wisconsin.
Sharon Newman Is Tired Of The Drama
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is getting to know her son’s new love. Sienna is a good soul who was fooled by Matt, which Sharon can fully relate to.
Noah loves Sienna, and they appear to have the ability to sustain their relationship in GC. Fans should anticipate this couple lasting unless either person’s interests wane.
Meanwhile, Sharon just got Noah settled, and now his father has gone off the soapy rails. Nick’s impulsive desire to deal with Matt, rather than let Victor handle the villain from the start, led to the car accident.
Nick’s broken leg and inconceivable walk out of the hospital led to intense pain and a need to address it. Here’s hoping that the packet of illegal substances Nick pulled out of his jacket isn’t the start of what would be an extended dark tale.
Nick Newman Pulls Himself Back?
Nick planned on killing Matt and almost went through with it. Thankfully, Sienna went to Victor, and Braeden’s character intervened.
A visit to rehabilitation isn’t out of the question, assuming that Nick either recognizes he’s out of control or his family reels him back in. Sharon insisted that she take him to the hospital, which implies a continuation of this pairing.
They haven’t crossed a romantic threshold, as Sharon said she was open to months ago. But the more fans see her with Nick, the more natural speculation will build about these exes reconciling.
