Y&R Alum Catherine Bach Hospitalized After Surgery Complications, What We Know!

The Young and The Restless and Dukes of Hazzard alum Catherine Bach (Anita Lawson) has reportedly been hospitalized after suffering post-surgery complications.

Catherine became famous for short cutoff shorts and a sassy attitude as Daisy Duke on the 1980s CBS show, Dukes of Hazzard.

Catherine’s Former Dukes of Hazzard Co-Star Ben Jones Broke The News On Facebook

Bach’s former Dukes of Hazzard co-star Ben Jones (Cooter Davenport) took to Facebook on Thursday to share some troubling news. His message stated: “Breaking news! Our beloved Catherine Bach has been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital on an emergency basis,” he wrote. “Catherine is dealing with an embolism that likely arose from a recent surgery.

We will keep you updated, and Catherine will share her experience once she has recovered. She deeply regrets having to cancel her appearance at Cooter’s this weekend. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. With love, Ben and Miss Alma.

Bach Was To Have Performed At Ben Jones’ Club In Nashville, TN This Weekend

Bach was set to perform at Jones’ club, known as “Cooter’s Garage” in Nashville, this Saturday and Sunday. The actress, famous for her role as Daisy Duke throughout all seven seasons of The Dukes of Hazzard, was scheduled to participate in a meet-and-greet on both days.

Sadly, due to her hospitalization, those plans have been delayed, and updates will be provided soon. Currently, no further information regarding Bach’s health has been disclosed. Keep an eye out for updates as more details emerge.

Catherine First Appeared As Anita Lawson In 2012

Fans might also recall Bach for her recurring role as Anita Lawson on The Young and the Restless from 2012 to 2019.

Anita was a con artist who, at one point, married Jeffrey Bardwell (Ted Shackleford), but they separated before she could inform him of her pregnancy. She raised their daughter, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), by herself, teaching her the art of deception.

Chelsea even dropped out of high school at 16 so that she and her mother could con people together. However, Anita never revealed to Chelsea that Jeffrey was her father, as she hadn’t seen him in many years.

Chelsea Returned To Genoa City In 2019, After Reconciling With Anita Offscreen

Eventually, Anita and Chelsea parted ways but both ended up in Genoa City; Chelsea later left with her son Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and moved in with Anita, who had also left town.

In summer 2019, Chelsea returned to Genoa City and revealed she had left Connor with her mother; she soon missed her son and asked her mother to bring him back. Anita returned to Genoa City with Connor-when Chelsea offered to share her inheritance from her late husband, Calvin Boudreau (John Burke), she became suspicious when Anita refused.

Later, Anita confessed to taking millions from the estate, leading Chelsea to kick her out, and Anita went back to Louisiana.

Since leaving the CBS daytime drama, she has appeared on Hawaii Five-0 and Almost Royal; we send our best wishes and healing thoughts to Catherine Bach.
