Summer’s (Allison Lanier) intuition is telling her something’s off. In the closing moments of the episode on Wednesday, March 19, she expressed her concerns to Nick (Joshua Morrow), sharing her belief that all is not well with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford).

Despite her mother’s rescue, Summer remains convinced that danger still looms. This hints that our Super Girl is gearing up to investigate. When Summer senses something is amiss, she can’t shake the feeling.

She Acts Like This Around Claire

We’ve already seen how she acts around Claire Newman (Hayley Erin). Summer hones onto those instincts and doesn’t let them go. She feels that Phyllis isn’t fine after her kidnapping.

She just wants to move on to the next thing in her life. Phyllis was quick to join Billy (Jason Thompson) in their business deal; she was disappointed to find out that he started without her.

What Could Be Wrong With Phyllis?

Numerous factors could be contributing to Phyllis’s current state-for starters, she might be in denial about her past experiences, seemingly eager to push forward with her life.

Over the past few years, Phyllis has faced significant challenges, yet she appears to bypass the necessary emotional processing, quickly jumping into new relationships or business ventures. This behavior serves as her coping mechanism to navigate the trauma she has endured. 

Additionally, there’s a chance that Phyllis is on the brink of a mental breakdown. Summer, who knows her better than anyone, is acutely aware of these underlying issues.

Phyllis Could Have The Same Kind Of Problems As Sharon

Phyllis may face similar challenges as Sharon (Sharon Case), but Nick seems oblivious to the red flags concerning both of his former partners. How often has he mistakenly believed that Sharon was doing well when she clearly wasn’t; it might be time for him to heed Super Girl’s advice this time around.

Summer might simply be attempting to reunite her parents, feeling uneasy about the growing bond between Sharon and Nick.
