Days of Our Lives News: Peter Reckell And Kristian Alfonso Returning Again?
Days of Our Lives spoilers say that for those fans who were hoping to see Hope and Bo back on the canvas, you might not want to hold your breath on this one. That’s because it looks like their portrayers, Kristian Alfonso and Peter Reckell, might have closed that chapter of their lives. And that’s not because they don’t love their characters or the show, but because they don’t think a new storyline would do Hope and Bo’s relationship the justice that it needs. Here’s what you need to know.
Days of Our Lives News: Peter Reckell And Kristian Alfonso Returning Again?
In the podcast Hey Dude… The 90’s Called with David Lascher and Christine Taylor, Kristian and Peter made some very interesting comments about whether or not they would be willing to reprise their roles on Days of Our Lives. While Peter said that he would be open to returning, it was Kristian who had some more reservations about it.
When asked about a possible DOOL comeback, Peter said, “I was looking at the show, and the schedule they have [where] they do a bunch of shows and then they have a couple weeks off. I think I can do that. “It looks like the kind of thing I’d like to get back in. Especially when this anniversary of the show’s coming up, it would be great to be a part of it.”
However, it was Krisitan who had more to say about the matter. The actress says that she believes in respecting the history and integrity of her character. She began by explaining, “I am one who likes to be honest, as far as the history of the characters, and I did not see that happening. And I’m not going to lie in my performance or try to sell something that did not happen.”
Days of Our Lives News: What’s Next For Hope And Bo?
Kristian continued, “When we’d get new writers, sometimes they weren’t always familiar with the show. And that was one of the reasons I had started saving my scripts, so I could go back and say, “I know you want me to say X, Y, and Z in this long monologue, but this never happened. It doesn’t track. But it tracks on this page and this show, which was 100 shows ago.”
She also said, “The audience is going to remember. I don’t think I knew it better [than the writers], I just know what I did for my character. There were storylines I did not agree with and the directions that they were taking because it was not honest of who Hope was or what she endured.”
