Suzanne Somers Dead At Age 76

Say it isn’t so! There’s a new report that says Hollywood icon Suzanne Somers has passed away at the age of 76. The actress was best known for her role as Chrissy Snow on Three’s Company. She would have turned 77 on Monday. Here’s what you need to know.

Suzanne Somers Dead At Age 76

A statement from her rep said, “Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.”

The statement continued, “Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family. Her family was gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16th. Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly.”Back in July, Suzanne gave an update on her health. She wrote on Instagram, “As you know, I had breast cancer two decades ago, and every now and then it pops up again, and I continue to bat it down. I have used the best alternative and conventional treatments to combat it. This is not new territory for me. I know how to put on my battle gear and I’m a fighter. Alan has been by my side every step of the way. I can’t even explain how much he has done for me. If it’s even possible, we are even closer than ever. My incredible family has been so supportive, and have helped so much by keeping the business running so you can still have access to all the wonderful products. Thank you for the continued love and support. It’s only about who you love and who loves you – and I love you!”

Suzanne Died After A Long Battle With Cancer

It goes without saying that many of Suzanne’s fans on social media commented on her death on social media. Some said, “Absolutely Beautiful person inside and out!!! You made such a difference in this world ! Your smile ! Heartbreaking and may you rest . Thoughts and Prayers to your beautiful family, Blessed they are to have such beautiful memories,” along with, “Rest in peace sweet lady, God bless ur amazing husband we all should be so lucky. Thanks for the funny tv in my childhood years.”

Another fan wrote, “As a fellow Stage 4 MBC fighter, I’m encouraged that she was able to battle this beast for over 20 years. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband Alan and their family. RIP Suzanne.”

There was this comment as well, “I’m so sorry to hear about Suzanne. She was an icon . And she stood up for women’s right. I am thankful to have met her and to have had the opportunity to appear on her show. Forever in our hearts.”
