According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, when Jack visits Diane in jail, she tells him to not visit her anymore. Everything is just too painful for her to deal with right now. She is being framed for a murder that she knows she didn’t commit. It’s just too painful for her to see Jack right now.
The Young and the Restless Executive Producer and Head Writer Josh Griffith puts it this way, “Jack represents the redemption and love that she thought she had finally gotten and now seeing him is just a reminder that she can’t have those things. She tells Jack, ‘Stop tying yourself to me because I’m lost to you for good.’ She sees the potential hopelessness of her situation. She’ll be going back to a four-by-four cell, thinking it’ll be this way for the rest of his life.”

Yet, Jack doesn’t see it this same way. The Young and the Restless spoilers say that he is determined to clear his fiance’s name in this big mess. He knows that she doesn’t deserve to be behind bars for something that she clearly didn’t do. Griffith adds, “He knows in his soul that Diane didn’t do anything to harm Phyllis. For now, he needs to deal with Diane’s depression and pessimism so she doesn’t lose that fighting spirit.”
