The Young and the Restless Star Michael Mealor Is Officially Off The Market! Y&R Star Gets Hitched To Fiance
According to new reports, Michael and Sasha got married on March 23 at a luxury hotel in Napa Valley, California. Sasha shared a new photo of the happy bride and groom on her Instagram page and even changed her Instagram handle to Sasha Mealor. Talk about wedded bliss! The happy couple looked so in love. Michael even commented on Sasha’s photo with, “You are my world.”
Just last year it was announced that Michael would be returning to Genoa City on a long-term contract. But back in September, Michael opened up to Soap Opera Digest about the reason why he decided to leave The Young and the Restless. He admitted admitted that his future relied on his contract negotiations with the producers of the show (as is the case with most daytime television actors).
Michael put it this way, “My manager and I were working ourselves through it, and I think a couple of weeks into it … we were about to film a scene and, Hunter, correct me if I’m wrong, but it was, “Hey, I’ve got to talk to you about some business stuff.” I didn’t realize she was going through negotiations at the same time, so it kind of turned out to where I spilled everything.”
Michael Mealor And His Brand New Life
He continued, “Negotiations are a private thing, and I was like, “Hunter, this is what’s happening….” It’s difficult because you love the show and, you know, all that kind of stuff, and you’re so dedicated to it. I mean, it was my life. We worked 50 weeks a year, four days a week, so it becomes such a piece of your life and everyone there is family.”
