For all of those critics who thought that it wouldn’t last, we’ve got some news for you. There are new reports that say Days of Our Lives has been renewed for two more seasons on the Peacock network! Here’s what you need to know.
Days of Our Lives Celebrating HUGE Success On The Peacock Network
According to new reports, Peacock has announced that DOOL has been picked up for another two seasons. A press release from the online streaming service even said that Days of Our Lives has been consistently a top 10 title for Peacock, which is certainly great news for the cast, the crew, and of course, the fans!
With that said, many Days of Our Lives fans sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some commented with, “Very happy to hear this (though I’d heard rumblings about a 2 year renewal a few months back). I’m glad it’s been successful on Peacock (relative to that streamer’s programming),” along with, “Great news that confirms DAYS is doing very well on Peacock. I like how the press release confirmed it has been consistently in their top 10 most viewed programs since the switch. I think between the eyes it’s bringing to the streamer and the (relatively) low-cost of the show, it should be good for a while. Hopefully this helps to end all the worry that the move to Peacock was a plan to quietly cancel the show. Will the show end at some point? Sure, but hopefully not for some time to come!”
What’s Next In Salem?
Another fan wrote, “This renewal was based on the performance of the show as written and produced for NBC, as the shows recorded when the writers and actors knew they were actually going to air on Peacock are only now beginning to stream. With about 130 already recorded episodes in the can, this renewal adds another 520 episodes. Some 650 episodes still to come, at minimum. The worries of DAYS heading to the cancellation bin were fortunately misguided.”
