She wants to replace Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) as the next co-Chief Executive Officer at Forrester Creations.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) had no idea that his wife was interested in running the family business with him. Viewers noted that Brooke didn’t say who presented this idea to her.
If she had, Ridge probably would have been more inclined to dismiss Brooke’s intentions as wanting to help Hope.
However, Brooke genuinely wants to become Ridge’s full business partner. She values the nostalgic aspect of restoring FC as a husband-and-wife team. But Ridge made a strong counterpoint to the assertion.
Eric Forrester And Stephanie Forrester Clashed Hard
Ridge said that Brooke was right, his parents ran the company well. But he added a caveat. Eric Forrester (John McCook) and the late Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) did so when they were getting along.
Ranking with the most important arcs in B&B’s history, and one that was part of its origin storyline, was Eric and Stephanie having multiple problems in their marriage. The first major falling out happened when they divorced because of Brooke.
Eric and Stephanie were said to have married in the late 1950s. They were together until 1990, when they divorced for the first time.
Brooke, who was Ridge’s age and first fell for him during B&B’s debut in 1987, married Eric for the first time in 1990.
Brooke Logan Forrester Was Called Many Names
Stephanie had many derisive names for Brooke long before they made peace, and she died in her arms on the beach in 2012, in what may be this soap opera’s most indelible scene.
Eric remarried Stephanie for the fourth time during that year and, like Brooke and many on both sides of the screen, was devastated by her loss.
Life in daytime moved on following Flannery’s decision to retire and the writing staff’s correct choice not to recast this character and have Stephanie go to heaven.
Brooke remarried Ridge in 2012, for what was then their sixth nuptial. They recently married again, for what is their ninth union.
Stephanie was probably smiling from above when that happened in FC’s executive office, but might offer a bit of angelic advice to her son regarding replacing her granddaughter, Steffy, with Brooke as co-CEO.
Liam Spencer Makes Predictive Point
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) believed he’d convinced his wife to leave FC. But Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) told him otherwise and relayed what she presented to Brooke.
Hope has good reason to believe that her mother will be able to persuade Ridge to accept what she wants. But Liam asked a good question. What happens if that doesn’t happen?
Noelle’s character has one good option: to accept the seeming offer that Logan made.
While Katie Logan Spencer’s (Heather Tom) offer wasn’t formalized, meaning a contract, the head of FC’s sudden rival fashion house is open to that happening.
But before that is explored, Hope prefers to stay put and work for her mother and Ridge, with Steffy being demoted.
