Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) remnant feelings about Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) caused her to keep Melissa in mind for a spot at Forrester Creations, and so she offered her a job.
An art teacher working as a secretary wouldn’t normally be a good career move. However, Melissa, who says her parents used the nickname Miss, just saw the door of opportunity open widely.
Being hired at FC catapults Bullock’s character into the stratosphere. Washing dishes at Il Giardino proved to be a short stop on her way to a potential relationship with Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) and possibly a way to adapt her artistic skills into becoming a fashion designer.
Her First Name Isn’t Dylan After All?
Viewers must be wondering why the character who called herself Dylan used that moniker.
This is daytime. So, it’s fair to wonder if she was hiding something in her or her family’s past, or it was just a personal choice.
Melissa was first seen last summer as Hayes Finnegan’s (Bryan David Garlick) summer art teacher. She naively allowed Luna access to the students and suffered the consequences.
Nozawa’s character gagged, tied her hands, and put Melissa in a closet while she created chaos in the living room, including shooting her grandmother’s toe off and hitting Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) point-blank in what normally would have been a kill shot.
Luna was shot in retaliation by Liam and was said to have died. She lived because of Li Finnegan’s (Naomi Matsuda) heroic efforts and desire to give her granddaughter a second chance in life.
However, Luna’s return led to her being supposedly accidentally run down by, of all people, the character now known as Melissa.
Steffy Forrester Finnegan Dismisses Messy Personal Issue
Steffy has a lot to say about the various personal connections and entanglements within FC. So, it was noteworthy when she cut off Melissa, who wanted to explain the falling out with Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace).
That had to happen so that a smooth transition from dishwashing to call answering could happen. The young ladies who have been all over Will and RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) will likely have plenty to say about Melissa, as they have about Electra. But the main battle has been set between the two women who have fallen for him.
Electra never wanted to break from Will but felt compelled to do so. She was also coerced by her intrusive and manipulative aunt.
Ivy Forrester Needs To Do More Work
Apparently, Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) has no oversight at work. She conducts plenty of devious personal business, and only when that’s done does dabbling in the jewelry line happen, or at least that’s the view fans see on the screen.
Splitting Electra from Will happened. So, Ivy is primed to take advantage of what should be many opportunities to make her niece see the growing bond between Melissa and Morrow’s character.
