General Hospital Spoilers: Dante’s Sudden Interest in Elizabeth Comes Out of Left Field — But Why?
General Hospital spoilers report Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has fans talking this week after his flirtatious trip by GH to see Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) on Wednesday.
His request for a favor turned into Dante fumbling over his words. We haven’t seen him like that in a long time.
As she struggled to make out the words to explain what he was actually looking for, it seemed that Nurse Baldwin was able to meet him right where he was and help him navigate the complexity of his feelings regarding Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) becoming a suspect in Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting.
Was Dante’s sudden interest in Elizabeth sparked by that exchange alone? It’s unlikely, but where did it come from?
Make It Make Sense
It you’re waiting for it to make sense that Dante suddenly has an attraction to Elizabeth after all of these years, don’t hold your breath. It doesn’t look like we’re going to get any kind of explanation for this one.
Not only is it a little too close for comfort because they were briefly in-laws in the past, but last we knew, Dante was still hung up on grieving Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
Isn’t that why he couldn’t be present for his feelings for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening)? Moreover, Sam and Elizabeth were pretty close over the years, bonded by both of them being Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) baby mamas.
Now we’re supposed to believe Dante and Elizabeth are the right fit at the very time that she has decided to date his uncle, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst)?
GH Spoilers Tease Ric Won’t Like This
When Ric found himself trapped in Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) basement, he didn’t exactly have a chance to explain the situation to Elizabeth. Afterward, it was in his best interest to make up an explanation for why he ghosted her.
But keeping his distance since then may have sealed his fate. Now, if Dante expresses interest in Elizabeth, she just might take him up on that, leaving Ric to the sideline to watch her move on with his nephew.
In the past, we’ve seen Ric retaliate in some pretty nasty ways to keep the women he wanted in his life, but will he really go up against his own family — and a cop?
Nathan and Lulu Rock the Boat
The biggest reason that the idea of Dante coupling up with Elizabeth actually makes sense is because it’ll add some much-needed drama to the otherwise painful and potentially dangerous situation that is brewing with Lulu and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey).
With Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) choosing Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) as her one and only, Nathan is quasi-free to do as he pleases, though not without consequence.
There’s a chance Maxie will overlook this and give him and Lulu her blessing, but that doesn’t mean Dante is going to go for it.
Will new relationship with Elizabeth make it harder for him to watch Lulu move on — and with his best friend? Cue the drama, and stay tuned for more GH news and spoiler just ahead.
