Now, Boatman has broken his silence and addressed his Days exit. More on this, below.
Carson Boatman Talks Days Firing
The Daily Mail broke the news, so it only seems fitting that Boatman would talk to the news outlet about his Days of Our Lives departure.
In a statement, Boatman notes, “I am incredibly grateful for the past five years. I have nothing but love and respect for everyone over there, from top to bottom.
He went on to say, “The closing of this chapter is bittersweet for me, as I’ve cherished every moment spent walking those halls and on the sound stages. A lot of tears, and a lot of laughter, have been spilled on all those sets by so many people, including myself.”
Carson also stated, “I am genuinely so excited to see what the future holds for me, as well as the show.”
He closed with, “P.S. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has been a fan of Johnny.
The show tapes a long way in advance, so we’ll still be seeing a lot of him for quite a while.”
Boatman’s History On The Peacock Soap
Boatman started playing Johnny DiMera, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), and EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriel) son in August 2021.
He’s been a pivotal player in the land of Salem, and his love story with Chanel DiMera has been an incredible watch for fans of the super couple, “Janel”.
As per SoapOperaNews.net, it sounds like the four cast firings are a part of a larger picture where casting changes are concerned for Days of Our Lives.
The only good news about all this is that, as the daytime drama films several months in advance, Johnny, along with Chanel, Holly, and Leo, are expected to be seen on canvas until late 2026 or early 2027.
