Now that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) is welcoming conversation with him, Brad might think he stands a chance again — if only he can get that pesky Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) out of the way.
He’ll take care of himself eventually because the secrets he is keeping from Lucas are bound to come out. When they do, possibly with his ex’s help, Brad will be waiting.
But Lucas isn’t going to jump ship from one shifty lover to another, so Brad can’t default to working with his aunt, Selina Wu (Lydia Look) again. He’ll need a reputable way of making money. Is GH the answer?
Brad Has a Request
Previews this week say Brad is going to have a request for someone on Wednesday. I can just about guess what that is, can you? Brad has covered his bases pretty well since he got back to town.
He was quick to have a brief heart to heart with Lucas that resulted in him knowing he’s at least allowed to talk to the guy. Things are less awkward than when he left town before, having blown his shot with Lucas after confessing he had blackmailed Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).
This week, I suspect he’s going to ask Portia for his job back, and that’ll lay tracks for what she wants in return.
GH Spoilers Claim Portia Finds Herself in Familiar Territory
Last week, Portia confided in Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) that she wants Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to be the father of the baby she is carrying.
Before her courtroom confession, revealing to Curtis and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) that she had been involved with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) and that he could be her baby’s father.
If Brad wants his job back, it could be all too convenient for Portia, who needs some lab work fixed in her favor. Uh-oh, here we go again?
A Bedrock of Lies
It seems like Portia and Brad are really two peas in a pod, despite how much they don’t seem to like each other.
They both have often felt entitled to manipulate others to orchestrate the desired outcome they want in their own lives.
Until that courtroom display, Portia was so sure she was cool with Isaiah being the dad. Now it’s as though she needs to control for Curtis being the father so she can make this up to him and Trina and hold onto her family.
Suddenly, she’s dragging her feet on the paternity test, and that has me thinking Brad’s reinstatement in the GH lab will be the thing that pushes it right along — on Portia’s terms. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this shakes out.
