Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) took all of his known financial assets, yet he somehow managed to make his way from Los Angeles, California, with his crooked sidekick.
It’s plausible to think that Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) financed their trip from LA to GC. However, she’s also wanted by the law because Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) certainly informed his superiors about Annie revealing herself as Matt’s paid dupe.
The above doesn’t override one seeming fact. They are on Victor’s turf, and he’s looking for them. With all the human eyes watching and modern surveillance techniques, why haven’t the Newman family pounced on Matt yet
Noah Newman’s Relationship Was Established
Matt made a specific comment to his wife that raised eyebrows on the other side of the screen. He said that she had a history with younger men.
That implied Matt, being who he is, wanted to connect with Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) in London, England, purposely. His strategy could have been to position Noah near Sienna so that they would bond romantically.
However, Noah’s relationship was established, whether through Matt’s purposeful link or organically; it happened.
While Howarth’s character didn’t need to invent a motivating factor, doing so would be his mode of operating.
Nick Newman Is On High Alert
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) first fell in love more than three decades ago.
Devoted fans recall that Case’s and Morrow’s characters battled Matt, who attacked Sharon.
Matt later returned to GC under another assumed name, Carter Mills (then played by Rick Hearst), and with another face. He pretended to kill himself, while making it look like Nick pulled tubes from his body while in the hospital.
So, Nick’s trademark family protective instincts are naturally raised during this most unexpected reappearance. All of the Newmans know what Matt’s capable of, with his free roam around GC, feelings preposterous. But it does push the plot in what is already an engaging storyline.
Sienna Bacall Knows Her Husband
Sienna agreed to go with Noah, but didn’t receive a warm welcome upon her arrival. Victor and Sharon openly shared their concerns and suspicions.
Noah wants the woman he loves with him. So, there was no chance he was going to allow her to either leave or leave without him. She stayed, which makes her a valuable asset as the hunt for Matt continues.
Annie looks like a character that could either be killed off in this fight or turn on Matt. But the team of Sienna, who knows her husband better than anyone currently, and Sharon, who was forced to live through a part of his dark history, are primed to stop him one way or another.
