The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor Blindsided By Nikki’s Betrayal As Jack Fires Back

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) always believes that he’s the king of Genoa City, Wisconsin. But little does he know that his queen has betrayed his trust.

While King Victor has his youngest prince, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), doing his daytime dirty work, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has already shared game-changing information with the enemy.

Of course, the enemy is Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who Victor sees as nothing more than a fool or court jester. But let’s put the latest fantasy land reference aside, because it, like Victor’s invented grudge, has already become tiresome within the first section of this feature.

Jack Abbott Is No Fool Now Or Ever

Jack didn’t nearly cause Nikki’s death in the suite where she was drunk, and he was high on an illegally obtained substance. Devoted viewers recall that Bergman’s character was serving as Nikki’s sponsor during her latest fall off the wagon.

But Nikki hadn’t restarted boozing voluntarily. Instead, the evil witch, Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk), rendered Nikki unconscious, plunged an intravenous tube into her arm, and force-fed alcohol into her system.

Yes, soap opera writers borrow from classic literature themes. So, it’s fair to put Victor in the king category because Zenk’s glorious run on this show was all about playing a dark character who had no soul.

However, it’s fair to ask if what Victor is doing to Jack falls into the same category of wrong that Jordan and her partner in crime, Ian Ward (Ray Wise), did to his family.

Victor Newman Using Rival As Dumping Ground

Currently, the revived Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) has the Newman family on guard. He’s the greatest threat to the Newman family now that Jordan is gone and Ian is believed to be dead, though he’s not.

Rather than fully focus on Matt, Victor has a split focus. He’s farmed out the punishment application to Adam but is still calling the soapy shots. Victor’s flaw is in not recognizing his true enemies, which allows them to cause damage and advance further than they normally would.

But being a narcissist, Victor can’t recognize his flaws. But Nikki does, and their love story includes her brave defense efforts.

Nikki Newman Makes Herself The Target

The recent talk Nikki and Jack had at the Genoa City Athletic Club was enlightening and productive. Jack told her he was going to shut Jabot down. She replied by acknowledging Victor had the artificial intelligence weapon and was using it.

That tip-off gave Jack time and plot space to be fully prepared. So, he proceeded to take Jabot, as he called it, offline.

Meanwhile, Victor believes he can sully Jabot’s reputation and drive the Abbotts’ family business into the dirt, potentially without employing AI. However, he’s sure to learn what Nikki revealed to Jack, and that will make her the target of his next attack.
