The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Matt Severely Underestimates Victor – Artificial Intelligence Weapon Used Again
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) believes he has the Newmans where he wants them. But the man who’s calling himself Mitch Bacall didn’t know that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had an artificial intelligence weapon that he planned to use against him.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) felt like they were hitting dead ends or even going backwards. They described what’s happened since they both began searching for Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) in Los Angeles, California, as everything being upside down.
Matt’s pattern of behavior has become even more volatile than it was during two different periods years ago. His involvement in illegal substances is the likely culprit.
Matt Clark Is A Dangerous Guy
Victor’s description of Matt was that he was dangerous. The head of the Newman family and founder of Newman Enterprises often speaks precisely when dealing with an enemy other than Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
As devoted fans recall, Victor took Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) threat seriously. While he always felt Cane could be defeated, which is what happened, Victor didn’t underestimate the man who called himself Aristotle Dumas.
The calculation with Matt is vastly different because of the horrid personal history he has with Sharon and Nick. Victor is right in believing that Matt is out for revenge, not money.
Is Detective Burrow A Double Agent?
Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) has no first name, which implies he might be a bad guy.
It could be that the character Cohen is portraying is telling Nick and Sharon the truth. He claims to be working undercover in a sting operation to prove Matt is part of an illegal drug network.
However, scenes between Cohen and Howarth leave open the possibility that Detective Burrow is double-dealing. He may be on the take, either because he’s dirty or because Matt has some hold over him.
If the detective is clean, Sharon and Nick have a strong ally. However, if he’s dirty, then Noah and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) aren’t the only ones whose lives are in serious jeopardy.
As the audience will see during Noah and Sienna’s escape attempt, Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) is the double agent, not Burrow.
Victor Newman Forces A Dynamic Shift
Victor already used the AI tool on Arabesque, which caught Cane totally off guard. It’s systematically destroying his complex conglomerate.
So, using that same weapon to attack Matt’s front business, The Shadow Room, should yield much quicker results. Of course, Matt chasing Noah and Sienna created a different level of drama compared to Cane begging Victor to buy the scraps of his company.
Fans anticipate that the Newman family and possibly Sienna will be fine after the current climax in this storyline. Victor, Sharon, Nick, and Sienna are fully motivated to do whatever is necessary to bring Matt to justice as well. But this is daytime, and that could take a while.
